🥘 Festival Gastronómico del Mole in Tulum

Get ready for one of Tulum’s most delicious weekends of the year! The Festival Gastronómico del Mole Tulum 2025 returns for its second edition, celebrating Mexico’s most iconic sauce in all its rich, flavorful forms. From November 14 to 16, the event brings together local chefs, national culinary talent, and food lovers for three days of tastings, culture, and community.

The festival’s main celebration takes place on Saturday, November 15, when Plaza 26 in Aldea Zama transforms into a vibrant open-air tasting venue starting at 4 PM. Visitors can sample creative mole-inspired dishes and beverages prepared by chefs from across Mexico alongside Tulum’s own culinary stars. Expect everything from traditional mole poblano and Yucatecan variations to inventive modern takes that reimagine this beloved national treasure.

In addition to the public tasting day, private events will be held at Tulum’s top restaurants, including Cántaro, Comal, and The OG’s, offering intimate dining experiences for true food enthusiasts.

The festival also features live music, dance, and cultural presentations that celebrate the artistry and history behind one of Mexico’s most cherished flavors. This is your chance to experience Tulum’s vibrant food scene at its most flavorful.

🚌 “Dude, Where’s My Van?” Matt MacLean Hits the Riviera Maya!

Hold onto your surfboards — internationally renowned comedian Matt MacLean is rolling into town from wherever he last parked his van for one unforgettable weekend of laughter! From November 21 to 23, Íguana Comedy presents this hilarious three-day tour across the region with stops in Cancún, Playa del Carmen, and Cozumel.

You’ll catch Matt at his finest: smart, goofy, and just weird enough to make you chuckle long after the van has departed. He’s been described as “relatable, dorky, quick-witted, and a fantastic performer,” and now he’s bringing all that charm to the Mexican Caribbean. Joining Matt for the ride are three of your favorite Iguana comedians.

🐙 Festival del Pulpo – Flavor & Fun in Río Lagartos

Start making plans today for one of Yucatán’s most delicious coastal celebrations — the 4th Annual Octopus Festival “Sabor, Naturaleza y Tradición”, happening November 21–22 in the fishing port of Río Lagartos a coastal gem known for its pink lagoons, wildlife, and hospitality.

🎤 Chalky’s Singing Challenge for Charity

Mark your calendars for an evening of music like no other as Puerto Aventuras’ own Bernard “Chalky” White takes the stage at Nauti Burro for a two-hour, non-stop Singing Challenge, all in the name of fun and community spirit!

Chalky, a longtime local and crowd favorite, has accepted a daring challenge from his musician friend Peter Fontanese. “Sing classic rock hits solo for a full two hours straight.” —No breaks. No band. Just pure stamina, spirit, and good tunes. Chalky will be performing 30+ of his favorite songs, from Elvis to The Eagles to Adele. There will something for everyone in this great repertoire.

But this challenge isn’t just about endurance. It’s about making a difference. All tips and donations from the evening will go directly to Feeding the Future, a program maintained by the Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen Seaside that provides nutritious meals to local children in need.

So grab your friends, sing along, and cheer Chalky on as he rocks the marina for a great cause. Come early to snag a good seat. It’s sure to be a packed house!

This week, instead of featuring just one special pup, we’re inviting you to meet all of the incredible dogs at Playa Animal Rescue. Each one has their own story, personality, and that unmistakable spark of joy that only rescue dogs seem to have.

Volunteers are always welcome, whether you come to walk the dogs, play in the yard, or simply spend time giving them the affection they crave. These daily interactions help the dogs build trust, confidence, and social skills, preparing them for the loving homes they deserve. These small acts of kindness can change lives (theirs and yours).
