🌊 Festival del Arrecife: Art with a Taste of the Sea

Cozumel is about to come alive with three days of creativity, community, and coastal pride. The Festival del Arrecife, directed by local artist Abel Pool and produced by the independent collective Plenilunio, is set for August 29–31, bringing together artists and performers from Quintana Roo, Yucatán, and beyond.

This free festival blends art, culture, and conservation with a mission to inspire awareness and connection across generations. Expect a vibrant program of theater, dance, painting, and live music, along with hands-on workshops, talks, and artistic showcases designed for all ages. From morning activities at Parque de los Lápices (beginning at 9 AM) to evening performances at Parque Benito Juárez (beginning at 6 PM), it’s a celebration where local talent and coastal conservation meet in one collective experience.

Festival del Arrecife is a call to preserve and celebrate coastal life, strengthening community ties while highlighting the importance of the sea that sustains it. MEET JINGLE, OUR DOG OF THE WEEK

🐾 Little Jingle is around 10 months old. This sweet little girl was struggling to survive on the street, along with her Mom Carole and Sister Holly. You can see from the pictures here, what she looked like when she was rescued, while she was healing, and how beautiful she is all well again. Jingle is spayed, up to date on shots, parasite free and has received all her preventatives.
