🍕 Pizza & Pasta Fest: Italian Flavor Takes Over Tulum!

Get ready for two deliciously carb-loaded days in paradise! This weekend, the esplanade of the Tulum Municipal Palace will transform into an open-air Italian kitchen for the Pizza & Pasta Fest 2025 — a food lover’s dream come true.

Saturday and Sunday, the air will be filled with the irresistible aromas of bubbling mozzarella, fresh basil, and homemade pasta as 25 exhibitors, including pizzerias, Italian restaurants, local chefs, and culinary artisans, serve up their best creations. 🎶 Aluxe Fest 2025 in Playa del Carmen

Get ready for one of the Riviera Maya’s most vibrant cultural celebrations, Aluxe Fest returns for its 4th edition this Sunday, November 9, at the Recinto Fairgrounds in Playa del Carmen.

This year’s lineup features Tijuana No as the headliner, joined by a diverse roster including The Heartmakerz, Roy, CY, Cachito de Música, Elektrodealers, Escuela Cruda, Snorkels Surfer, Rapunzelo, Yepi, Xmachinas, Mayor Skala, Los Olvidados del Carmen, and Fer Lagger Ska Jazz.

👻 A Supernatural Adventure for a Good Cause

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, November 18! Laura Labrie the founder of Maya Harmony is taking a small group of brave souls to Leona Vicario for a one-of-a-kind ghost-hunting adventure with Sue Mazur of Dos Brujas Co.. This special event raises funds for The Harmony Project Fish Farm Restoration in the same community.

Twenty years ago, a hurricane destroyed the fish farm belonging to a local Maya woman, María Eugenia. After years of loss, the Harmony Project has spent the past seven months helping her rebuild. Just last week, 700 baby fish were returned to the ponds. There’s still work to be done, and your participation in this excursion will help make that dream a sustainable reality.

🕯️ The Adventure: The ghost hunt will take place inside an abandoned, half-finished house built over a water-filled cave—a place locals say is haunted by both spirits and ancient Mayan beings. With Sue’s professional ghost-hunting equipment, we’ll explore the site, listen to stories from the townspeople, and maybe even make contact with “the other side.”

🍽️ After the Hunt: The day ends up at María Eugenia’s home, where she’ll prepare a traditional Mayan lunch for the group featuring fish from her own farm—the perfect way to experience the spirit of Yucatán hospitality.

🚌 Details: The cost is 900 MXN and includes transportation from Puerto Morelos, the spooktacular tour and lunch. This is a day trip from Puerto Morelos. Departure is at 10 AM, returning before dark. Seats are limited, so reserve early. To claim your spot, send an email to [email protected].

ADOPTABLE DOG OF THE WEEK

Riviera Maya Insider is working together with PAR - Playa Animal Rescue to help amazing dogs find forever homes. Each week, we will feature a pup who is ready for adoption and eager to join your family.

🐾 Meet Aspen, a gentle, easygoing soul who’s ready for her happily-ever-after. We rescued Aspen from the jungle along with her puppies and her best friends Aida and Broski, and she’s been sweetness from day one. At about 6 years old and 18 kg, Aspen is that perfect medium size—and her medium-to-low energy makes her a dream companion for relaxed walks, cozy evenings, and unhurried days at home.

Aspen is wonderfully people-friendly and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She’s not demanding—give her two meals a day, a comfy spot to nap, and lots of love, and she’ll reward you with soft eyes, quiet tail wags, and steady companionship. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines, parasite-free, and on monthly preventatives, so she’s healthy and ready to go.
