FIVE FUN THINGS

🔍️ As you may have noticed, local news and social media outlets are better at reporting events after they have happened than they are at letting you know about them in advance. 🙄

If you are making plans for the weekend, these are some fun events to keep in mind that you may not have seen or heard about. These are the things I would be making a point to attend…if I had any free time at all. 🤣

Come on down to the marina tonight (Thursday) for something fun and different! Los Aguachiles in Puerto Aventuras is presenting a night of Stand-Up Comedy in English. Tickets are just 150 MXN per person and can be reserved in advance via Whatsap +52 984 141 4021. If you are coming from outside the complex, be sure to also ask for a QR code. The show starts at 7PM.

The Cancun Symphony Orchestra kicks off its 13th season in style with Returning to the Classics, an evening featuring the master works of Franz Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig Van Beethoven. The concert will be held at the Teatro de Cancun on Friday February 21. Doors open at 7:30PM. The performance begins promptly at 8:30PM. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.

On Saturday February 22, step into an immersive Murder at Midnight Luau filled with fun drinks, delicious food, tropical vibes and plenty of intrigue! Dress in island attire and play your part in solving the case. Your entrance fee includes a welcome cocktail, shared appetizers, a main course and a surprise “Mystery Shot”. Prizes will be awarded for Best Detective and Most Dramatic Character!

Saturday night February 22, CASA presents A Musical Show with Carn Crua.

Carn Crua’s performance is a spectacle straight out of an Almodóvar movie—vivid, bold, and unapologetically raw. Originally from Barcelona, she crafts a one-of-a-kind show every time she takes the stage. With her loop station, haunting vocals, and intricate production, Carn Crua seamlessly blends sound, poetry, and theatre into a passionate, immersive experience that defies convention. The show will be at CASA in Puerto Aventuras from 8:30PM until 10:30PM. Reservations are required 📞 +1 917 375 5191. If you are coming from outside the complex, be sure to also ask for a QR code.

On Saturday February 22, Off the Vine Playacar will celebrate their 3rd Anniversary with a night of fine wines, a fresh oyster and seafood bar and live music from Black Velvet and Mari Balam! Come and say congratulations to Ricardo and his staff for thier great success. Tickets are 950 MXN presale and 1150 MXN at the door.
