🐾 Pilot was rescued from the street with a badly mangled leg. There was no option but to remove the leg. Pilot has not let that slow him down one bit. He is a happy and confident dog who loves everyone! Pilot is about 7 years old, and weighs 15 kg. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, parasite free and has been given heartworm preventatives each month. Trivia Answer: Ek Balam

Iconic sites like Chichén Itzá, Tulum and Muyil have long closed their pyramids to climbers. Coba closed the main pyramid to climbing during COVID and never raised the restriction. Ek Balam still lets you ascend its massive Acropolis structure. It’s one of the few places left in the region where you can legally climb to the top of a Maya temple and take in panoramic jungle views. Even better? You’ll pass intricate stucco carvings on the way up—some of the best-preserved in the Yucatán.

So if you’ve got a bit of adventure in you and want that classic “jungle temple” moment—Ek Balam’s your spot!
