MEET ASPEN, OUR DOG OF THE WEEK

🐾 We rescued Aspen, her puppies and her best friends Aida and Broski from the jungle. She is a sweet tempered girl with medium to low energy. Aspen is about 6 years old and weighs 18kg. She is super easy to please, just give her love, 2 meals a day and more love and she will be content. Aspen gets along really well with all people and all dogs. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, parasite-free and has received monthly preventatives. If you are interested in having Aspen join your family, send an email to [email protected] for more info.

💵 Want to help, but can’t adopt? There are plenty of opportunities to support Aspen and other pets awaiting their forever home. PAR also needs sponsors and volunteers to help with dog walking and charm school. Find out how you can help!

🌽 Ancestral Flavors & Living Memory in Tulum

Join the first edition of RE-UNIÓN, a new cultural series hosted at the stunning AZULIK Residences in Tulum. For one evening only, the lobby becomes an immersive gallery space for La Trenza, a powerful photographic exhibition by artist Malena Díaz.

Inspired by the milpas of Tlaxcala, La Trenza is a visual tribute to maize and the communities that cultivate it with care, dignity, and deep ancestral knowledge. It’s a reflection on land, memory, and the social fabric woven through the sharing of seeds.

The evening opens with a traditional ceremony led by Egilio Canul, seed guardian of the Sahcabmucuy community, and includes a specially curated cocktail tasting experience honoring the ancestral flavors of Mesoamerica.

🌽 La Ruta del Maíz: An Evening of Flavor, Art, and Cultural Tribute

This Friday in Tulum, don’t miss a one-night-only sensory experience that celebrates Mexico’s most sacred crop. La Ruta del Maíz is a four-course dinner inspired by native corn, crafted by Chef Miguel Hidalgo at Restaurante Rústico (KM 7.2, Carretera Tulum–Boca Paila).

Alongside the meal, explore La Trenza, a stunning photographic exhibition by Malena Díaz, honoring the milpa, tradition, and the powerful symbolism of maize in Mexican identity.

🐎 16th Copa del Rey Polo Tournament Returns to Puerto Morelos

Get ready for one of the Riviera Maya’s most stylish sporting events—the 16th annual Copa del Rey at El Rey Polo Country Club in Puerto Morelos. Happening on Saturday, May 31, 2025, this all-day tournament kicks off at 2 PM and promises much more than just polo.

Guests will enjoy the thrill of the grand final match, followed by the traditional divot stomp, live music from a DJ throughout the day, and a concert and closing party to end the evening on a high note.

Expect a full culinary experience with a dedicated food area and both national and international bars. Fashion lovers can take part in a stylish hat contest and catch the action on the runway, while shoppers and art enthusiasts can browse a curated bazaar and art showcase. Families are welcome too—there’s a Kids Club on site to keep the little ones entertained.

The dress code is all white, so come dressed to impress. General admission tickets are 300 MXN and can be purchased online or at the door. Parking is available for $200 pesos.
