Last week, we posted a Trivia Question to see how much you know about the Riviera Maya! These are the results!

The municipality of Solidaridad in Quintana Roo was officially established on July 28, 1993 during the administration of Governor Mario Villanueva Madrid. This new municipality was created by separating the continental area from the municipality of Cozumel, which had previously encompassed both the island and its mainland territories.

Before this date, Playa del Carmen was a locality within the municipality of Cozumel. The administrative center of Cozumel was located on the island, making governance and service provision challenging for the rapidly growing mainland communities like Playa del Carmen. The creation of Solidaridad aimed to address these issues by providing more localized governance.

🌿 The Emerald Hummingbird Festival Returns to Cozumel!

On Saturday, April 26, join the Cozumel community in celebrating one of island’s most dazzling residents—the Cozumel Emerald Hummingbird (Chlorostilbon forficatus)—at the 7th Annual Emerald Hummingbird Festival! 🌌 The Little Big World: An Immersive Experience Inspired by The Little Prince

✨ Step into the stars and your imagination—the magical world of The Little Prince has landed in Cancún! 🎸 Pink Floyd at Pompeii Hits Theaters This Weekend

The legendary 1972 concert film Pink Floyd at Pompeii is back on the big screen! Restored from original negatives and featuring a newly mixed soundtrack, this iconic performance—filmed in a deserted Roman amphitheater in 1971—captures the band just before The Dark Side of the Moon launched them into superstardom.
